教科書告訴我們「[全臺首學](https://talk.ltn.com.tw/article/paper/157766?ref=taitokchi.com)」在18世紀的府城孔廟，真的是如此嗎？實際上，在17世紀荷蘭人來到台灣（現台南一帶），除了建設教堂，也興建了學校、實施教育教導在地人文字。

曾經講 [Siraya](https://taitokchi.com/tok-news-2026-7-24/) 西拉雅話的新港社，這語言在21世紀曾被 [UNESCO](https://cdn-news.org/News.aspx?EntityID=News&PK=0000000002f4bd0a3b22895e47ba2e4fa24481caa69a9a00&ref=taitokchi.com) 列為滅絕語言。卻因近年靠著昔日古荷蘭語和新港文對照翻譯的《[馬太福音](https://www.pct.org.tw/article%5Fchurch.aspx?strBlockID=B00007&strContentID=C2023090900004&strDesc=Y&ref=taitokchi.com)》、《[番仔契](https://ihc.cip.gov.tw/EJournal/EJournalCat/46?ref=taitokchi.com)》新港文書等史料，[一個字一個字](https://www.twreporter.org/a/taiwan-aborigines-siraya?ref=taitokchi.com)將其救回來。現已復興到能在電視播報的程度。
