王水河曾受到[歐美流行文化](https://www.instagram.com/p/Da62z7GEvi1/?ref=taitokchi.com)影響、渴望追求強烈的摩登風格。在六、七〇年代的台中逐漸拓展其作品，南、高、屏，也找得到他的足跡。不只創建其[獨特的美學](https://www.instagram.com/p/Da7D2qlINHO/?ref=taitokchi.com)、甚至影響下一代的藝術家，和台灣戰後的視覺文化。
