位在梧州街的「吉 刈包」是廖榮吉經營的路邊攤。9月29日其因病辭世、享壽86歲。他自1987年起連續30多年自掏腰包舉辦「寒士愛心尾牙」招待街友、弱勢族群，而被稱呼為[萬華大善人](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6WF576GvGc&ref=taitokchi.com)。

自幼喪父、15歲到艋舺學印刷，印刷業沒落後經營刈包生意。因為在新年期間看見街友無家可歸，開始買豬腳、鴨肉料理，拿到亭仔腳分享。從一開始30、40人，一路增加到上千人，發展成為一年一度的「[刈包吉愛心宴](https://news.cts.com.tw/cts/general/202610/202610043086118.html?ref=taitokchi.com)」。規模從最早5桌一度席開1000桌，即使[2020年停辦](https://news.pts.org.tw/article/463989?ref=taitokchi.com)後也持續發便當、[送禮到家](https://news.pts.org.tw/article/555266?ref=taitokchi.com)。

家屬和媒體分享，即使他住院仍然掛念「街上的弱勢怎麼辦？」最後在9月29日走完86年的人生。廖榮吉的後事將在板橋殯儀館「新月三廳」10月18日上午10時30分舉行家祭、11時公祭，讓曾受幫助的各界人士能送他走最後一程。
